O projecto Ateliês Abertos nasceu de uma necessidade sentida por alguns artistas residentes no concelho de Lagos por forma a dar a conhecer o seu trabalho a visitantes e eventuais clientes.

Procura-se, com esta iniciativa, alcançar um duplo objectivo: contribuir para a visibilidade dos artistas participantes e, por outro lado, ajudar a afirmar Lagos como destino cultural revelando, assim, uma face mais íntima e “escondida” do concelho. Nesse sentido, convida-se os visitantes a deslocarem-se aos ateliês aqui apresentados e a tomar contacto com a obra e a oficina destes artistas.

Apesar dos horários disponibilizados, é aconselhável que os interessados confirmem por telefone a presença dos autores de sua preferência nos respectivos ateliês. O mesmo é válido se pretender visitar um artista num horário diferente do anunciado. O artista, caso lhe seja possível, recebê-lo-á com prazer. É para isso que existem estes Ateliês Abertos.



The Ateliês Abertos (Open Studios) project was born from the need felt by some local artists from Lagos, to make their work know by visitors and potential clients.

This initiative seeks to attain a double objective: on one hand to contribute towards the visibility of the participating artists and on the other to help asset Lagos as a cultural destination revealing, in this way, a more intimate and hidden face of the area. In this sense visitor are invited to go to the studios presented here and get in contact with the art and work space of these artists.

Although some schedules have been made available, it is advisable for those interested to call in order to confirm the presence of their preferred authors at the particular studio. The same applies if the artists are to be visited outside the advertised schedule. If it is possible the artist will be pleased to receive you. This is the purpose of the Open Studios project.
